Company introduction

Brighton Wellbeing is a complementary health clinic located in Brighton UK. The company offers bespoke massage treatments and natural skincare and wellness products to general public, cancer patients and chronic condition sufferers. The clinic’s mission is to be the wellbeing service provider Brighton residents and visitors choose when seeking for relaxation, stress relief or pain management.

The brief

Brighton Wellbeing had an urgent need to re-build their website. They had faced several issues with the site in terms of functionality and design, and the website wasn’t generating enough traffic or leads. The company was also looking to refresh their branding, hence we were given a lot of freedom with the site’s new design. Brighton Wellbeing also needed a way to get bookings through the website.

The design

We wanted to keep the images and website colour scheme a standard. The theme was changed to Oblique, and a custom footer was built to match the new brand. The site structure was simplified by removing unnecessary pages and menu items. A separate mobile version was created with shorter content and simpler design.

SEO

The website wasn’t initially ranking on any keywords. After an extensive keyword research, the content was updated site-wide for it to rank better locally in the Brighton and Hove area. Currently the site appears on 1st search results page (SERP) locally with 21 keywords and on 2nd SERP with 9 long-tail keywords.

Site optimisation

Originally Brighton Wellbeing website had a massive database with a large number of unnecessary pages, plugins, posts, files and images. These were all removed which itself already had a huge impact on the site speed. We also compressed all images, set up page and browser caching and fixed crawlability issues.
